What We Offer

Byerley Thoroughbred Racing (BTR) is run by an experienced team who specialize in small and friendly racehorse syndicates.  Our horses are bought by some of the leading bloodstock agents in Europe and are trained by a selection of some of the leading trainers in Ireland and the U.K. We offer shares in both Flat and NH horses, giving owners interest over both racing codes.

  • Byerley TR purchase quality bloodstock bought by two of Europe's leading agents - Peter & Ross Doyle Bloodstock Ltd and the BBA Ireland. Our yearlings are bought from the leading yearling sales in both Ireland and the U.K. So far to date (at Jan' 11) Byerley TR have already spent over €500,000 on thoroughbreds at leading bloodstock sales.
  • The horses are then trained by a selection of leading trainers until the end of their 3 y-o flat racing careers (ie flat racehorses race for two seasons).Our N.H syndicates also generally run for two seasons.
  • Our ownership syndicates are typically formed for between four to eight shareowners.
  • The shareowners within each syndicate participate in the selection process of the horses name collectively, with the horses running under the Byerley TR umbrella.
  • As a shareowner you will have the opportunity to visit the yard to see your horse and meet your trainer and fellow shareowners in a relaxed atmosphere.
  • On race days you and your guest can enter the paddock at the racecourse, watch your horse run from the owners stand and with a bit of luck return to the Winners enclosure to welcome it in! We will be in attendance at the racecourse to ensure that your day goes smoothly.

  • Our horses are registered with H.R.I or B.H.A with the horse registered to Byerley Thoroughbred Racing. All registration and administration is managed by Byerley Racing taking all the hassle out of ownership, leaving you to enjoy the excitement and thrills of racehorse ownership.
  • All prize money won and bloodstock sale proceeds from the horse are shared equally between shareowners.
  • All shareowners will receive the personal support and advice of our Racing Director and our professional racing team.
  • We'll keep you completely up-to-date with your horse's progress and likely running plans through regular meetings, emails, our web site and telephone calls.
  • We can't guarantee you a winner, but with some good fortune you'll have a great time, you'll meet like minded people, make new friends and share in the exhilaration of racehorse ownership at the higher level.
